Hi Richard,

More feedback from the OU and our use of using CR in assessment :-)

The module chair has passed on comments from markers that, for exams, the 'question author solution' isn't very useful. It apparently takes up a fair bit of space on the marking form, and some markers copy-pasted from that rather than the student answer (in order to give specific feedback). Obviously they realised their error, but it happened a few times.

A very crude mock-up (as usual ;-)).... Currently it appears like this:


And the request is for a button to show/hide the solution on the marking screen, e.g.:

Thanks for the suggestion. This sounds like a sensible request - I've got confused myself on occasion. And it should be a relatively trivial bit of JavaScript to throw in.

I'll try to remember to get it into the next release though it may only go out into the Moodle 4 version just because retrofitting tweaks like this to older versions is going to be a bit of a nuisance. When will OU be going to Moodle 4, do you know?

Yeah, we've been updating our own plugins for a while now, but are now starting to look at moving our install to M4. Hoping we'll do so for our December release, so you folding that into the M4 version is great!

Thanks Richard, we should get that in our internal March release - in plenty of time for next year's summer exams :-)
