CR question mark/grade calculation

Hi!

I'm using CodeRunner questions in my introductory programming cours, and I've observed that when the grade for a question is  calculated, it corresponds to the best mark that the student has obtained in previous submissions instead of the mark from the last submission.

For instace, if the a student scores 0.7/1.0 on the second submission and 0.1/1.0 in the last submission, the final grade is 0.7/1.0

It this behaviour standard?

Yes, that's the standard behaviour for Moodle questions using the Adaptive behaviour. CodeRunner questions always use Adaptive behaviour.

You're talking about the multiple checks of the same code runner question in the same quiz attempt correct?

I've assumed it's expected behaviour. Personally I prefer it that way, as often students are still tinkering with their answers when the test time runs out. If that happens while they're writing a line of code, they shouldn't get 0/1.0 or less than what did have working.

If it gave only the last result at submission, I would be needing to manually adjust a lot of questions.
