We have a student here who is interested in the idea of a Blockly question. If you have a working question type, I'm sure he'd love to see it. Would you be able to post a Moodle XML export, please?

I am most certainly still around, just increasingly distracted. Sorry, but I just came across this now. Yes, I've been very happy with what I've been able to tinker together, and I'm still using it regularly. Unfortunately very little time to develop it further (despite lots of ideas), and I haven't looked under the hood in quite some time. So I'm a bit foggy on what I actually did. Off the top of my head, it was more about the custom UI (derived from Html UI, I'm guessing) than the question XML. And iirc, I couldn't find a way to avoid core hacks at the time - although I also seem to recall that there was a prospect of doing things more cleanly at some point in the future. I just ran out of time. Attached is one version (have another using regex marking). As you can see, though, it doesn't contain much beyond the initial setup of the blockly toolbox (which I customise per question). I'll try to find some time to dig a bit deeper and revert.

Many thanks for the response Mark. I think it's a cool project. However, the student who expressed an interest in heading along a similar path has now moved in a different direction, so we won't be able to contribute ourselves, unfortunately.
